FAQ's

1 Do you ship internationally?

Long Island Fragrances DO NOT ship internationally and the service is being provided ONLY in U.S. as of now.

2 Difference between Eau de toilette (EDT) vs eau de parfum(EDP)?

The difference is about the amount or concentration of oils used. EDT is the lighter of the two, usually including between 5-15% of essential perfume oil and usually lasts around 4-7 hours. And EDP usually has around 10-20% perfume oil and so is a much stronger blend. EDP can last up to 8 hours. There is also pure Perfume or Parfum, which has more than 20% oil concentration, and lasts almost from morning to evening and demands the highest price. On the other hand, Eau de Cologne (EDC) has a much lower fragrance concentration about 2% to 4% and lasts up to two hours and is cheaper.

3 Difference between splash and a spray?

If your fragrance is called a splash, it means it does not come with an atomizer. Basically, it's packaged in a glass bottle with a screw-top, and you apply it by putting a few drops in your hands and "splashing" it on the shave area and throat. A spray is exactly what it sounds like: a bottle with an atomizer that you spray onto the skin.

4 How can I keep my fragrance from going bad?

Keep the perfume in its original box and away from light and heat. Store the perfume with the cap on and sealed in its protective bottle. Store the perfume in an air tight container.

6 My perfume does not spray, nothing comes out, is it broken?

1. Check the nozzle for clogs.

2. Clean the nozzle with a tooth pick or small brush. You can also soak the nozzle in soap warm water.

3. Turn the bottle upside down, and press on the nozzle gently while spraying. This can often work with any air bubbles or particles that might be preventing the pressure of the spray from working.

4. Finally, make sure you’re keeping your perfumes away from temperatures that are too hot. When exposed to extreme heat, perfume bottles can often malfunction, and nozzles lose their pressure.
